BEFORE UPLOADING YOUR PHOTOS PLEASE
FOLLOW THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS

Ark Stock Photos focus is on quality. We ask that you take the time to adjust your photos to the following guidelines. We reserve the right to reject and resize images that we don't find suitable for the Ark Stock Photos site.

Photos MUST be taken or artwork created by YOU personally. If the image is artwork you MUST be the artist who created the entire work.

Photos MUST be family friendly (Deemed suitable for viewers of all ages)

Remove noise
A lot of compact digital cameras produce heavy image noise, especially at high ISO settings. Please review your photos with software like Neat Image, Noise Ninja or PhotoShop.
Adjust White Balance
Check that your photos are properly lit, and that they are not over- or underexposed.
Make sure the photo has good composition
Remove frames, dates, text and watermarks.
Remove copyrighted content
Ark Stock Photos does not allow photos that contain logos and trademarks (apart from a few images where it can't be avoided). Before uploading please edit these out from your photos.

DO NOT UPLOAD

photos with any text, timestamp or watermark

photos with frames

photos with nudity, gambling, violent or anything that is indecent, vulgar or obscene

photos containing copyrighted material (paintings, posters, advertisements, cd / book / dvd covers, logos)

photos with excessive blur, noise or bad JPEG quality

photos that are too dark or badly lit

photos rotated into the wrong direction

photos where the subject is too small or barely visible

portraits and people shots without signed Model Release

We recommend the maximum file size to be no larger than 10 MB and no smaller than 1 MB. There will be different requirements for buyers, some may need large prints for a calendars or full page ads, and others may need small prints for flyers or newsletters. If a buyer is using the photo for web applications then a smaller file is OK , it is not intended to be used for print. We need the photos to be at least 800x600 or 1 MB to qualify as a Low-Resolution Web use photo and as high a resolution as possible. Any photos that are submitted that does not meet our requirements will be deleted.

Photo Submission Requirements for Hi-Resolution Photos:

Images must be photographed with a minimum 2 Megapixels camera.
Images must be at least 1600 pixels x 1200pixels.
Sharp clear no noise photos

Photo Submission Requirements for Web Use Lo-Resolution Photos:

All photos submitted that do not meet the above Hi-Resolution requirements will be classified as Low-Resolution Web use photos
Images must be at least 800 pixels x 600 pixels.

Photo Submission Requirements for all Photos:

Images must NOT contain any company names, product names, date or trademarked designs.
Images must NOT contain recognizable brand named products.
JPEG Images must NOT be bigger than 10MB
Do not put copyrighted keywords into description or keywords field.
